Hartford Fire Department – Building Addition and Retrofits
Dave’s Electric provided Hartford Fire and Rescue with a Design Scope for a building addition and renovation project. Through careful planning with the Fire Department staff and the General Contractor, Dave’s Electric was able to provide the Fire and Rescue staff with a facility that was completely equipped with all of the necessary specialty equipment connections for the Apparatus Bays. The project also involved the installation of a new 55 KW emergency standby generator and transfer switch to power critical loads in case of a power failure. New decorative exterior lighting was included on the new addition as well as the existing facility. Upon completion of the addition, Dave’s Electric retrofitted the existing apparatus bay with new lighting that allowed for greater lighting levels and an overall energy savings.
